The Cardiac Registered Nurse provides direct and indirect patient care in the Cardiac Rehabilitation setting. Planning, coordinating, and implementing the delivery of quality nursing care for patients utilizing nursing process in the cardiac rehabilitation setting. Assesses the patient’s condition and nursing needs, sets goals, and prescribes appropriate nursing action to meet goals and needs of patient; including physical, psychological, social, rehabilitative needs and discharge planning. Communicates with Cardiac Rehab Director/Supervisor, physician, nursing as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. 

Complies with department and organization-wide policies, Critical Access Hospital requirements, Safety and Infection Control, all and Federal and State of Nebraska regulation related to the performance of CCCH operations and requirements of the Compliance Program. Participates in professional growth and development.
